1. What are the fees associated with using the marketplace?

Duel Consulting, Inc. charges an $11 access fee for each work order a buyer creates. This fee pays for the creation, routing, and management of a work order, as well as access to the Duel Consulting, Inc. marketplace of service providers.

The access fee is charged upon creation of the work order. The service fee for the work order (also known as the work order spend limit), is reserved for payment to the provider from the funds available in the buyer's account. The release and payment of the service fee to the provider who accepts the work order occurs only upon successful completion of the work specified.

For providers, a 10% fee is charged on parts and labor.

There are no membership fees or dues for using the marketplace - buyers and providers pay only for the service they use.

2. How does the feedback system work?

When a work order is closed (service has been completed and buyer has authorized payment to the provider), both the buyer and provider can leave feedback for each other. There are 6 questions with a 6-star scale (6 being the highest), a summary of which is displayed for that individual work order. Each provider and buyer has an aggregate rating, which encompasses all of the ratings completed on the system.

There is a 15-day grace period following work order closure for ratings to be entered. Duel Consulting, Inc. hides the rating your receive until you enter a rating or 15 days elapse, ensuring that both providers and buyers can rate each other honestly. For example, if a provider rates a buyer immediately following closure of a work order, the rating will not be published until the buyer completes his or her rating or 15 days elapses (whichever is first).

We strongly encourage both buyers and providers to rate each other when work has been performed. User feedback is a critical element of ensuring a quality experience within our marketplace.

3. Can I have both a buyer and a provider account?

Absolutely. Currently users that want to both buy and provide services must have two different accounts (with two different logins). Many of our most successful buyers are service companies that have provider accounts as well. Because Duel Consulting, Inc. has nationwide coverage, providers have the ability to become a national service company in just a few minutes.

4. How do I become a service provider? Do I have to submit my resume to Duel Consulting, Inc.?

The service provider signup is all web-based. Go to the Service Providers menu above and click on the "Become a Provider" link on the left navigation. You will then have an opportunity to enter information about you and your company and create accounts and profiles for providers you have on staff. The information includes industry certifications, hourly rates, and technical skills. Additionally, you can elect to complete a background check through the platform if you want to perform service for buyers that require them.

7 How is the distance calculated between a provider and a service location?

Distances are based on travel from the provider's profile address to the center of the search zip code. Please note: all distances are approximate, straight-line estimates, and not actual measurements; furthermore, the center of each zip code is determined by the US Postal Service, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of USPS information
